Ali Juma, a 53-year-old plastic surgeon based at Spire Murrayfield Hospital in Wirral, Merseyside, has opened up about the shocking realities of the ongoing Syrian conflict. After providing critical medical care to bombing and shooting victims, including those injured by shrapnel, Dr. Juma detailed the trauma faced by survivors. He recalled treating a baby boy who suffered severe burns in a tragic accident at a refugee camp. Dr. Juma’s accounts shed light on the devastating human cost of the Syrian war and the vital role of medical professionals in providing life-saving care.

Mr. Ali Juma, a father of two from Aigburth, Merseyside, traveled to Jordan – a country hosting large numbers of refugees who have fled the ongoing Syrian conflict. He spent eight days in Jordan providing urgent medical care as an emergency medic to those in need, including victims of the war.
